Order now for delivery by September 15. Stellarvue has completed our in house wood shop and we are in the process of fabricating a new line of vibration-damping wood tripods. We use ApplePly®, the most exquisite and expensive plywood as the ultimate material for stability and beauty. Once the wooden parts are machined to size we apply three coats of marine spar varnish and teak oil to protect the wood from the elements. The tray is also made of 1/2" thick ApplePly.
The Denali tripod is designed to work with the Stellarvue M002C mount head and column. The M002C needs the column so the telescope clears the tripod legs. Since we make these tripods here we can customize them to work with equatorial mounts that have the following attachment thread sizes: M10, M12, 3/8-16 and 5/8-11.
The Denali tripod weighs about 16 pounds. It is made of States Industries ApplePly®, stainless steel, and anodized aluminum. Spring-loaded leg adjusters apply pressure with two knobs per leg. Simply loosen the knobs and extend the leg to the desired height. The tripod stands about 32" to 41" depending on how it is adjusted. Remember, the column and M002 mount adds about 13 1/2" to the center height. So when the telescope is pointed horizontally its center will be between 45.5" and 54.5" high.
The Denali may also be used to mount small equatorial mount heads like The Celestron AVX, Vixen GP, Etc. Call us for more information.

Combining dense hardwood with a rock solid design makes a big difference when comparing Stellarvue tripods to others. The concept is simple, no loose components. Instead of using spreader bars with a tray that is bolted to it (and wobbles), our tray is securely bolted directly to the legs using thick 6061-T6 aluminum fittings. It only takes a minute to screw the tray to the tripod legs as the knobs are held captive to the tray and easily thread into the fittings. By literally bolting the tray solidly to the legs there is no play or looseness. This results in a rock solid stability.
There are three tripods being made at Stellarvue at the present time:
1. The Denali: This is the tripod above and it is perfect for small to medium sized refractors under 130 mm.
2. The K2: This is a heavy duty tripod that accepts the mounts we recommend include the Astro-Physics Mach 2, Paramount MYT and the Losmandy GM8 - G11.

Order Confirmation As soon as you place your order you will receive an order confirmation e-mail. If your item is on backorder or unavailable we will void the pre-authorization and reach out to you via e-mail. Order Shipment If your order is received, the inventory is in stock and your credit card information matches the information, In most cases, we can ship within 5 business days. - Non-standard shipping surcharges will apply to isolated service areas, such as remote areas, areas not readily accessible by a delivery vehicle, islands, Hawaii & Alaska etc., as defined by the shipper. These circumstances occur less than 1% of the time.
You can estimate the deliver time to your home or business by viewing the "Ships Within" information listed with every product. This refers to the time from when you place your order, to the time it leaves the warehouse. The total delivery time for your order is calculated from the time your order is placed, until you receive it. The diagram below shows how the total delivery time is broken down into pre-ship processing time and shipping time.
Processing time is the time it takes from when you submit your order to when the product leaves the warehouse. The "Ships Within" time frame listed with each of our products on the website applies to this time frame. For example, if your order a product that reads "Ships Within: 2 Weeks", this means that the product typically leaves the factory within two weeks. If there will be any additional time required to process your order, we will notify you immediately to confirm the delivery period. This time is needed for products that are shipped to you directly from our manufacturers. The manufacturers need this time to fulfill your order. In some cases, the items are custom built. Shipping time is measured when your order leaves the warehouse to when it arrives at your address. Actual shipping time can vary between 2-5 business days. Did your shipment arrive damaged or defective?
Please report damaged or defective merchandise to us immediately by email phone. Photos of the items and the packaging would be greatly appreciated. This will speed up our resolution process. We strongly recommend at the time of delivery, if your notice any cartons that look dented, crushed or just not right, open them immediately and inspect the contents. If the contents appear to be damaged, please notate it on the delivery ticket, refuse that item only and contact us as soon as possible for instructions.
