IDAS is re-entering into the monochrome camera market, but with the different approach from any others.
Type 4 RGB filters are the double-passband concept which intentionally doesn’t block NIR. Each RGB filter passes in VIS and NIR respectively. Thanks for the IDAS-proprietary multi-bandpass technology. The basic concept for Type 4 full passband is to seek for the better S/N at a given exposure time for the galaxies.

This also allows to enjoy VIS and/or NIR color separately with an extra filter. Generally targets are the galaxies and the planets. This is how.
Note R and B crossovers around 370-450nm range. This is intended to reproduce the real purple color based on the wavelength.

At beginning, following 4 sets are available.
RGB4C-52 (52mm mounted RGB Type 4 + Clear) : $499.00
RGB4C-36 (36mm unmounted RGB Type 4 + Clear) : $450.00
RGB4C-31 (31mm unmounted RGB Type 4 + Clear) : $399.00
RGB4L-28.6 (1.25″ mounted RGB Type 4 + L) : $299.00
R700 may be replaced with B+W 092 or Hoya(Kenko) R72.
