The ED II is the largest Observatory Dome we make it is 11’6” on the body diameter 12” 6” on the rails of the door. The shutter opening is 45” and goes 15 degrees past Zenith.
Explora Dome II Observatory
The ExploraDome II is constructed of durable fiber glass with blackened interiors and bright white exteriors to help manage light and heat. This 11.6 ft observatory dome is a single piece with overlapping shutter seams for maximum weather resistance and can be configured in numerous ways to fit your needs. The Explora Dome II is an 11.6 foot diameter dome with a 45" shutter opening making it the largest dome in the Explora Dome line. The shutter door is covered by two vertical sliding doors that overlap one another to improve weather resistance. The door is supported by two vertical aluminum arches and a cross support.
