With its high quality, fully multi-coated Porro Prism System, the lenses provide a clear image with a large field of view, making it perfect for astronomy. The higher-magnification glasses with 20x and 25x are also suitable for nature observations at long distances or, for example, to observe aircraft at the airport. All models are characterized by a large eye relief and a large field of view, which is also manageable with glasses.
The 20x100 can still be held in the hand for a short time, otherwise it is recommended to mount the binoculars on a sturdy tripod.

You can estimate the deliver time to your home or business by viewing the "Ships Within" information listed with every product. This refers to the time from when you place your order, to the time it leaves the warehouse. The total delivery time for your order is calculated from the time your order is placed, until you receive it. The diagram below shows how the total delivery time is broken down into pre-ship processing time and shipping time.
Processing time is the time it takes from when you submit your order to when the product leaves the warehouse. The "Ships Within" time frame listed with each of our products on the website applies to this time frame. For example, if your order a product that reads "Ships Within: 2 Weeks", this means that the product typically leaves the factory within two weeks. If there will be any additional time required to process your order, we will notify you immediately to confirm the delivery period. This time is needed for products that are shipped to you directly from our manufacturers. The manufacturers need this time to fulfill your order. In some cases, the items are custom built. Shipping time is measured when your order leaves the warehouse to when it arrives at your address. Actual shipping time can vary between 2-5 business days. We strongly recommend at the time of delivery, if your notice any cartons that look dented, crushed or just not right, open them immediately and inspect the contents. If the contents appear to be damaged, please notate it on the delivery ticket, refuse that item only and contact us as soon as possible for instructions.
I read about the 25x version of this binocular on the Cloudy Nights forum (very favorable) and decided to go with the 20x version to gain the extra 4mm of eye relief and potentially a bit more brightness with a 5mm exit pupil in dark skies. These binoculars are made in China with Chinese HK-61 glass- equivalent to FPL-51. This is good glass in a $1,000 binocular. The two year limited warranty is non transferable, but this short warranty period will work for people who take care of their stuff and likely helps keeps the price reasonable. APM dealers offer a 30 day trial period for returns, plenty of time to decide if the binoculars will work for you. My binoculars came with an adequate quality hard case with thick styrofoam liner, protective ocular and objective lens caps, and a tripod mount that works well with my Husky Quickset tripod and Benro B3 ballhead with 70mm Arca type plate. You will need to order a good neck strap- you don't want to risk a 9 pound 5 ounce binocular (on my postage scale) without a strap around your neck. The neck strap is not used for viewing; it keeps the binoculars from accidentally hitting the ground while connecting/disconnecting to/from a tripod. To APM- why no neck strap with $1,000 binoculars? I was a bit nervous spending substantial money on a Chinese binocular but my first views ended all doubts. The day/night views are astonishing! I use a Fujinon 10x50 FMTR-SX (among others) and the big APMs are similar in edge to edge sharpness and very close in apparent brightness with double the magnification! Chromatic aberrations are well controlled. Internal baffling to control stray (off axis) light sources is good. Have not had a chance to experiment with very dark skies, but so far many satisfying views in polluted city nighttime conditions. Be prepared to use a sturdy tripod and mount, even for brief viewing. If you want a good pair of 100mm straight through binoculars, the APM MS ED APO series are worthy of s...
